I have been going back to a lot of old hobbies as of late. Nothing like large doses of nostalgia when all your closest friends are graduating from college. Am I right? I have recently started drawing again, picking up my guitar more than I have in far too long, and now I figured why not get back into blogging as well. We would have to go back to the days of xanga (that would be pre-facebook and myspace for anyone who happens to see this and still hasn’t graduated high school) for the last time that I wrote about my life on a poorly designed web page for the world to see. If I remember correctly, the first day of junior year in high school was my last xanga entry, roughly six years ago. To give you a time setting; W. was still president, Arrested Development was still making episodes, and Prince William was still single.
Like I said, nostalgia.
Seeing as this is my first post and I don’t know how to, or really care to, mess with privacy settings on this thing, I am going to spend a little bit of time introducing myself.
The name is Frank. I go to the University of Texas at Austin despite the fact that EVERYONE in my family attended, is attending, or will attend Texas A&M. (Thanksgiving are always exciting at my house.) I love to laugh, make others laugh, eat/cook, hang out, listen to/play music, draw, play video games, and play/watch sports. I live and die with my sports teams. It is kind of an unhealthy obsession. I’m from the Dallas area and attend UT, so I’ll give you five guesses as to what my five favorite teams are. (Needless to say, being from Dallas, I died a lot over the past several seasons.) I like to think that I’m a pretty good looking, pretty nice guy. I’ve even been told I’m too nice. But I’ve also been told I’m a f***ing asshole. So I guess it’s a beauty is in the eye of the beholder kind of thing.
With so much change around the corner due to friends’ graduation and me preparing for my last semester in college the last couple of months have been filled with many lows and highs. But since I didn’t start blogging at the beginning of this year you will not hear about that. Instead you will hear about the upcoming summer and semester, possible job improvements, me moving houses, an emergency room visit (it’s bound to happen, just wait), and all other crazy shenanigans that life throws my way.
Always an adventure, and I love it.
